Feb 12,2017,at Shinjo Catholic Church, was a significant day as God welcomed and blessed Rina (Angela Lizzie and Kenshin (Mark Aaiden) Kadowaki with the Holy Spirit and became the children of God. The children were baptized by Rev. Fr. Dindo Santiago with the Holy Water. Baptism symbolizes the washing and cleansing of sins expiatory. Thus, we are all children of God but we need to be baptized by the holy water so that we can be called as Christian or to be recognized and participate different activities set by the higher Church. At last, God strengthened and had encouraged them to be more righteous.

The said event was attended by their Godparents, friends and fellow Christians. It was a great experience for us since we came from different places. Professor Takefumi Terada from Sophia University (Tokyo) was also there joining the celebration.

Godparents were supportive, they had done their part as second parents, they are there to help and support the Christian life of their God children. As the baptism rite was going on, I, as a mother, was overwhelmed. It was an honor to see my children receiving the Sacrament of baptism wholeheartedly. The journey of Angela and Mark had just begun as Christian life welcomed them.

After the celebration, lunch was served with different delicacies. Indeed it was a successful and gratified day.

I would like to thank everyone specially Shinjo Catholic Church staffs and members and to Rev. Fr. Dindo Santiago for the success of the activity. (By:  Kadowaki Family )
