2014/1

We celebrated our new years mass at 2pm in the afternoon. Lot‚“ of people came

from different places to hear the mass for the new year to come. Mostly mix languages were use‚„ during the mass Tagalog, English and Nihongo, but the songs we sang were pure Tagalog. Fr. Honma's homily was very touching. It made me cry and feel that I am not alone in this world. From now on, I will become more, more strong no matter what.

After mass, since it's first Wednesday, we prayed the novena for the Mother of Perpetual Help. After the prayers, the most enjoyable and most awaiting party came. There was lots of food as well as games, which is more enjoyable like paper dance, breaking eggs, stop dance (Trip to Jerusalem) and lots of balloons were used for the games. There were also crackers used which reminds me of the New Years celebration in the Philippines. Even though we are far apart from our own country, we can also feel the happiness in our heart. ButAthis is what we call our destiny, we have our mission here the most important thing to do is to serve God and His people well. May we also take the time to treasure in our hearts all the good happenings that come to us and to reflect how our lives can become more human, richer and deeper. May this year become indeed a year of grace. Amen.
